Tea & Toast 4 Karers & Kidz
Tea and toast meet on Monday mornings during term time, and our aim is to serve tea, coffee, juice and toast to pre school children and their carers.
We meet at 9:00 to 10:30 and we have books, toys and jig-saws for the little ones to play with while mum, grandma and carers have a chat and a cuppa.
Why not come and join us, the atmosphere is very relaxed and at the end of each session the little ones look forward to a ten minute sing song.
The session is hosted by four teams, each covering one week of the month. Every team member has been vetted by the ‘Criminal Records Bureau, and considered fit to work with children and young people. Our visitors do the checking of the quality of the coffee.
Tea and Toast was started because we did not offer any facilities for pre school children and the group title, ‘ Tea & Toast 4 Karers & Kidz’ was quipped in jest, but has stuck.
We do not provide any formal help with the children and the carers are responsible for them at all times and we meet for just one and a half hours.
